Background

Dan Brackmann received his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati in 1999.  He practiced law primarily as a litigator in small firms in Missouri and Illinois before getting his M.S.L.I.S from the University of Illinois in 2014.  Prior to joining the USC faculty in 2017, Mr. Brackmann served three years as the Electronic Resources Librarian at Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Brackmann teaches the research portion of the Legal Research, Analysis, & Writing I & II classes.  His scholarly interests currently include information-based modeling of law schools, law libraries, and legal pedagogy.
