“I am so thankful to have been awarded the Stamps Scholar award. The award has provided me with a large network of likeminded individuals, both at USC and across the country through the Stamps Foundation, who are striving to make the world better around them. With my stipend, I traveled to Ho, Ghana, shadowing and volunteering at a small clinic while learning about the health care system, the challenges the physicians face, and how they overcome those challenges to care for their communities. This scholarship has given me so much more than financial security, and has meant establishing strong relationships with people from across the world, discovering connections and continuities between societies while also growing personally and professionally.”
