Incoming freshmen majoring in sport and entertainment management can apply for the Tepper Scholars Program after they have been admitted. Applications are due in March for the upcoming fall semester.

The Tepper Scholars Program seeks the best and brightest students with a passion for furthering their education, and ultimately their career, in the field of sport and entertainment management.

The University of South Carolina's Department of Sport and Entertainment Management is a world leader in providing top-ranked degree programs and innovative research. It offers a bachelor's degree in sport and entertainment management with options to specialize in event management, venue management, sport management or entertainment management. It also offers a master's degree that is recognized as a top 10 graduate degree in sport management in the world, and its Ph.D. program is renowned for cutting-edge research and scholarship.

The David and Nicole Tepper Scholars Program was established in 2020 thanks to an impactful gift from David and Nicole Tepper. David Tepper is the founder and president of Appaloosa Management, L.P. and owner of the NFL’s Carolina Panthers and Major League Soccer's Charlotte FC. The Teppers’ charitable efforts are focused on the core beliefs that everyone deserves an education and access to health care resources, and that no one should go to bed hungry.
