Christine Simmons joined the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management in December 2024. Simmons came to HRSM as a seasoned human resources executive with over 20 years of leadership experience, specializing in building high-performing teams, fostering inclusive workplace cultures and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals. She has a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions in talent acquisition, organizational development, and creating inclusive and dynamic workplaces to drive sustainable success.

Simmons holds a Master of Science in human resource development from Villanova University and a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business. She also earned a High-Performance Leadership Certificate from the International Management Development Business School (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland, and is certified as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

Her career highlights include leading initiatives that reduce employee turnover, enhance performance management systems and increase workforce diversity. Simmons has extensive experience implementing HRIS systems, designing equitable compensation structures and coaching leaders to foster team collaboration and organizational effectiveness. Her data-driven approach to workforce planning and policy development ensures alignment with business objectives and market trends.
