The Darla Moore School of Business & College of Nursing are not accepting new students through the Admissions Portal.

If you are certain you would like to change to one of these majors, it is highly recommended that you meet with an Exploratory Advisor for an online Incoming Student Major Change appointment after you have had your Pre-Orientation Advising appointment with your admitted major.

STEP ONE:

Schedule a Pre-Orientation Academic Advising appointment with your current admitted major.

STEP TWO:

Schedule an Incoming Student Major Change appointment for a time after your Pre-Orientation Academic Advising appointment. With the Exploratory Advisor, you will review the process, eligibility requirements, and timeline for these major changes.

If you are certain that you want to change your major (not Business or Nursing), you should also update your first choice major in the Admissions Portal.

STEP ONE:

Update your major in the Admissions Portal:

1. Log in to the USC Admissions Portal
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the section titled "Application Change Requests"
3. Click "Request an Application Change"
4. From the dropdown menu, select "Request to Change First-Choice Major"
5. Submit your new intended first-choice major

Please submit your request only once. Application change requests are typically processed in 10 business days.

STEP TWO:

Schedule a virtual Incoming Student Major Change appointment to be advised and register for classes for your new major.

1. Go to My Advising Portal and sign in with your USC credentials (username and password)
2. On the "My Appointments" card, click "Schedule"
3. Under the "Appointment Category," select "Pre-Orientation Academic Advising"
4. Under the "Appointment Type," select "Incoming Student Major Change"
5. Choose an advisor from the list
6. Select your preferred date and time for your advising appointment
7. Click "Schedule Appointment"
8. After scheduling, this appointment will show on the "My Appointments" card in your My Advising Portal. You will also receive a confirmation email in your USC email account with instructions on how to log-into Microsoft Teams for your appointment.
