Biography

Kristen Nathe, MD, completed her undergraduate education at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in biosystems engineering. She worked as an engineer for Lexmark International prior to receiving her medical degree from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. She completed her internship and residency at Prisma Health–Midlands/University of South Carolina School of Medicine Columbia, where she held the position of chief resident for both her PGY-4 and PGY-5 years. Dr. Nathe then completed a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Nathe received her Board Certification with the America Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in 2019.

Dr. Nathe is a fellow and member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America. She currently serves as a clinical assistant professor with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Her specialties and clinical interests include pediatric orthopedics and trauma care, pediatric fractures, limb deformity and limb lengthening, clubfoot, gait analysis, developmental hip disorders and neuromuscular conditions.
