Undergraduate: B.A.I.S and B.S.I.S
In the College of Arts and Sciences, students can pursue either a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science degree program in interdisciplinary studies. The degree program is individually designed by each student along with a committee of at least four faculty members from the student's areas of interest.
Career choices vary widely for interdisciplinary studies majors. Career preparation should be tailored to each student according to individual needs. An undergraduate degree in interdisciplinary studies also provides strong preparation for certain graduate and professional school programs.
Bachelor of Arts students tend to focus within the humanities, social sciences and fine arts. Fields of study might include Southern studies, Middle Eastern studies, performance arts management, environmental studies or linguistics.
Bachelor of Science students tend to focus on fields of study such as biological sciences, chemistry, economics, geography, mathematics, psychology, sociology or statistics.
