Getting Involved

There are several ways you can get involved with the Institute, whether you are faculty, staff, student, or an interested party from the community.

Donations

Donations to the Institute fund the acquisition of new resources, research awards, and technologies which support our mission to reach as broad an interdisciplinary audience as we can. Contributions may be monetary; they may also take the form of time or in-kind gifts such as books, manuscripts, artwork, and other materials.  Your support will make an immediate impact in enabling us to become more effective, more quickly. If you are interested in making a donation to the Institute, see below or please contact LaTasha Saunders. Thank you.

Join our Listserv:

The listserv reaches an audience of around 240 people and is one way in which we disseminate news, information and advertise upcoming events from a whole host of different organizations, including our own. To be added to the IAAR listserv, please call any member of our staff, or join online to the IAAR ListServ.

Attend our Seminar Lunch and Learn Program:

All seminar sessions put on by the IAAR are free and open to the public. In addition hearing the most up to date research taking place in a session's particular field, you will have the opportunity to meet both scholars and interested parties from across many disciplines who regularly attend our program to enhance their own research and get to know others working on similar projects. For current sessions, see the Seminar Program page.

Submit a Seminar Lunch and Learn Proposal:

The Institute welcomes submissions throughout the year and from any discipline. A proposal should include the title of your intended presentation, a brief outline of your topic (maximum 250 words), the major conclusions you will draw, and a relevant vita. The Seminar Proposal Form must also be completed and accompany your submission.

Become a Volunteer:

At our bigger events, such as cosponsored lectures and conferences, we always need extra pairs of hands! Take a look at our Institute Activities page - if you are interested in volunteering at any of these, please call a member of our staff at 803.777.4835  or 803.777.4472.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
