Research and Teaching Interests

Dr. Brandt’s research examines, describes, and intervenes to address cancer-related health disparities with the “community” (defined broadly and diversely). Her research emphasizes dissemination and implementation of evidence-based approaches – i.e. using what we know works to improve health. She works with colleagues across disciplines and closely with community organizations and agencies. Most of her research is in the topic area of cancer prevention and control, specifically HPV vaccination, cervical cancer screening, and colorectal cancer screening.
