Research and Teaching Interests
Susan Yeargin has over 10 years of experience conducting research in thermoregulation and hydration behaviors. She focuses upon identifying factors in the prevention, recognition or treatment of exertional heat illnesses. She was a task force member of the Pre-Season Heat-Acclimatization Guidelines for Secondary School Athletics, and a co-author of the recent NATA Position Statement update on Exertional Heat Illnesses. She also serves as an expert for the Korey Stringer Institute’s Medical Board.
