USC faculty and students have new opportunities to publish their work at no cost thanks to an agreement between University Libraries and De Gruyter to provide open access publishing and reading access to USC Columbia affiliates. De Gruyter, a leading independent academic publisher, publishes books and journals across 30 subject areas.
This agreement will allow USC researchers and students to delve into De Gruyter's broad publishing portfolio, accessible through the Libraries' website. In addition, authors interested in publishing in a De Gruyter title can publish their work openly available at no personal cost in hybrid journals, pure open access journals, and subscribe-to-open journals.
Research articles, review articles, rapid communications, and case reports are eligible for coverage. USC Columbia students, faculty, and teaching and research staff should use their USC email address for communications and closely follow the publishing instructions on De Gruyter's website to ensure coverage.
University Libraries is pleased to add De Gruyter to its growing list of open access publishing agreements. Questions or suggestions regarding open access agreements should be directed to Amie Freeman.
