Due to COVID-19, the library cannot offer short-term loans including physical textbooks and scores.

  • Materials added to the collection include printed material such as monographs, serials, and musical scores, including full, piano-vocal, and study or miniature scores. Chamber works containing no more than nine total parts are collected. Additional formats including sound recordings, audio-visual material, and microform will be considered and acquired selectively.
  • Collected materials represent diverse cultures and peoples, and no geographical areas are excluded. For items consisting of musical notations, the language is of secondary importance. Audio-visual materials will be acquired without regard to language.  Dates of publication: Current and selective retrospective purchases.

Faculty can request copies of digital audio files owned or leased by the Music Library and have them uploaded to Blackboard. To request:

  • Email your course syllabus to henderrj@mailbox.sc.edu with CD call numbers and track numbers and/or Naxos items for streaming.
  • You can also provide your own legally purchased CDs to the Music Library.
  • In your Blackboard course, assign course builder status to Jen Wochner:
    1. Go to Users and Groups -- Users -- Find Users to Enroll
    2. Enter "wochnerj" as Username
    3. Change Role in dropdown to "Course Builder"

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
