About Me: After I graduated with my PhD from USC I became a lecturer in human geography at Aberystwyth University in Wales, where I learned to speak approximately three words of Welsh. I was then appointed as an assistant professor of global affairs at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. I studied Estonian at the University of Pittsburgh, love Neapolitan ice cream, and firmly believe that the Oxford comma is elegant, proper, and necessary.
