Faculty member Michael Filaseta and graduate student Jacob Juillerat, as well as our former graduate, Jeremiah Southwick, have been featured in Quanta Magazine for work done on widely digitally delicate primes.  A widely digitally delicate prime is a prime with the property that if any one of its digits, including any of its infinitely many leading 0’s, is changed, then the resulting number is composite.
