Dr. Wolfgang Dahmen has received the 2018 Robert Piloty Prize. The prize is awarded every two years to two people with outstanding research in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Theory. The ceremony took place on February 15, 2019 at the Technical University of Darmstadt. Robert Piloty (1924-2013) was a professor at the Technical University of Munich and later at the Technical University of Darmstadt. He did pioneering work at the interface of applied mathematics, computer science and electrical engineering. He played a major role in building Computer Science in Germany.
