The Math Department announced the winner of the Graduate Student Awards on reading day, April 30, 2019. Matthew Boylan presented the winners with their certificates.

• Outstanding First-Year Student: Stephen Smith
• Outstanding Graduate Student Instructor: Duncan Wright
• Outstanding Graduate Student: Zhiyu Wang
• George W. Johnson Graduate Fellowship in Applied Mathematics: Shuang Liu, Chenfei Zhang, and Xiangcheng Zheng.
• Peer Excellence Award: Jeremiah Southwick
