The University of South Carolina will host a virtual ceremony for  fall graduation candidates on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020 at 3 p.m..  The ceremony will be available to view live at go.sc.edu/2020commencement.

The decision not to host a large indoor event in December is based on advice from public health experts. Large inside group events and extended family travel create a greater risk for community spread, and the strong potential for a resurgence of the COVID-19 virus in late fall/early winter is one reason the university altered this semester's academic calendar.

To help commemorate the fall 2020 graduation milestone the university has created the Celebrate #UofSC20 web resource.  Visit Celebrate #UofSC20 for custom designed celebratory materials, including downloadable print-and-display graphics, decorations, props, banners and holiday ornaments.  The university will also mail graduation gift boxes to fall graduates prior to the commencement ceremony on December 13.
