Health and Wellness Expo

Open enrollment is coming quickly, and USC has you covered. Learn more about what’s offered at the university plus other employee benefits. My Carolina Health and Wellness Expo is an annual event to educate faculty and staff about all of the perks and resources that come with being a USC employee.

My Carolina  Health and Wellness Expo is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 24 at the Russell House, and the Division of Human Resources is encouraging all employees to "Catch the Wellness Wave 2.0."

The event begins at 8 a.m. at the Russell House and will run through 2 p.m. with breakout sessions scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Activities are scheduled throughout the day with over 40 confirmed vendors this year.

A few of the activities include: 

  • Montgomery Language, Speech and Hearing Clinic providing hearing tests.
  • Prisma Health's Mobile Mammography Unit (bus) [pdf]. Registration is required. Please register by calling 803.434.9100. Please bring your insurance card and a photo ID.
  • Prisma Health's optical services.
  • USC Health Services is providing flu shots.
  • Free massage samples and hand facials from Massage Envy.
  • Campus recreation is providing a body composition analysis as well as information on outdoor recreation equipment.
  • Complimentary preventative health screenings, valued at $300, are provided by Mackey Family Practice. Registration is required. Please register online with the MFP instructions [pdf]  at MFPWorkWellness by Friday, September 19 at midnight to secure your space. Walk-ins are welcome.  Please bring your insurance card.

Sam's Club [pdf] will be at the expo providing discounted memberships to USC employees. SAVI, a student loan assistance group, is also confirmed as a vendor.

Vendors include offices around campus as well as outside vendors that will help educate employees about health insurance, retirement and financial literacy among other resources.

The Office of Sustainability: Recycling 101

The expo will also have a Cocky Wellness Walk at 11:30 a.m. where faculty and staff can take a guided stroll around USC's Horseshoe to burn a few calories and take in the views on campus with USC's beloved mascot Cocky. Participate in a clothing drive to benefit USC's CommUnity Shop.  This year the CommUnity Shop is requesting dry, bagged rice and beans, canned fruit, and spices or seasonings, as well as gently used clothing items, school supplies, and toiletries.
