Paid Parental Leave

On May 13, 2022, Governor Henry McMaster signed into law S.11, which added Section 8-11-150 (A) and amended Section 8-11-155 of the South Carolina Code of Laws to provide paid parental leave (PPL) to employees who occupy all or part of a full-time equivalent (FTE) position.

Open Enrollment October 1 - 31, 2022

During open enrollment from October 1 - 31, benefit eligible employees may change their insurance coverage to be effective January 1, 2023.

USC Benefits Fair

The USC Benefits Fair is scheduled for September 29 between 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Russell House. Learn about the benefit options available for the 2023 year.

Using open and effective communication skills can benefit you at work and at home. Attain the skills to have open and effective communication.

Bonus Payment in October

The state authorized a one-time lump sum bonus payment to state employees in full-time equivalent (FTE) positions who have been in continuous state service for at least six months prior to July 1, 2022.

State Employee Adoption Assistance Program

The Public Employment Benefit Authority (PEBA) provides financial assistance, through their State Employee Adoption Assistance Program, to eligible state employees who are adopting. PEBA is accepting applications through September 30, 2022 for eligible adoptions that were finalized between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022.

Self-Care

Take some "me time" with a self-care strategy. Through this seminar, employees will learn to take time for themselves that can help them be more mindful and present. Self-care can be a proactive way to limit daily stress.

New automated offboarding process for employees
