Training and Professional Development

Every fulfilling career should involve both personal and professional growth and satisfaction. At the University of South Carolina, we have training and professional development resources to help us engage, learn and grow.

University employees and departments have access to a variety of resources, all of which foster engagement and growth, and encourage a journey of lifelong learning. You may discover tools that help you in your existing position, or you may even be introduced to new skill sets that will position you for advancement or allow you to cross over into new career opportunities.

The university's professional development programs are designed to improve individual and organizational performance and help the university achieve overall institutional goals.

Training programs have been carefully developed to help employees increase their effectiveness by building and refining job skills and by gaining greater knowledge of USC operations.

Developmental programs prepare personnel for increased or new responsibilities and broaden individuals as a whole.

Your needs might require personal consultation or to learn among a group of your peers in a classroom setting. Perhaps you need the flexibility to work at your own pace, or at your own desk. All employees are encouraged to take full advantage of these opportunities. We want you to feel empowered to learn and grow with us.
