Bio
Dr. Robert "Robby" Bonanno is a board certified family physician, faculty member with the Prisma Health Family Medicine Residency Program Greenville and clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville with deep roots in South Carolina. A proud alumnus of the University of South Carolina, he earned his undergraduate degree from the Honors College before joining the charter class of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville in 2012. He remained in Greenville to complete his Family Medicine residency at the Greenville Health System, where he served as Chief Resident.
Since completing his training, Dr. Bonanno has remained a committed advocate for medical education and his community. As Core Faculty for Prisma Health’s Family Medicine Residency Program, he leads initiatives in curriculum development, learner assessment and home based primary care while practicing both inpatient and outpatient medicine. Additionally, he serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at his alma mater, USC School of Medicine-Greenville, teaching clinical skills in the Integrative Practice of Medicine Course, mentoring students interested in careers in Family Medicine and contributing to the institution's leadership by serving on various committees.
