To meet the requirement, you must either:
Purchase the University-sponsored Student Health Insurance Plan offered through Academic Health Plans with BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina
OR
Waive out of the university-sponsored plan during the published waiver period by providing documentation of enrollment in a comparable health insurance plan. Otherwise, the fee for the mandatory health insurance plan will be applied to your tuition bill.
Cost
The cost of USC-administered health insurance for 2024-2025 is $1,355.29 for the Fall, and the Spring/Summer is $1,849.71 for a total of $3205 per year. Refer to the USC Student Health Insurance overview [PDF] for information about the plan.

While the USC School of Medicine Greenville campus does not have a stand-alone student health center, we have established partnerships with several Prisma Health System providers who have agreed to serve as medical providers for the School of Medicine students.
