Charles C. Mickel

Bio

Mr. Mickel began his career with U.S. Shelter Corporation in 1981 and continued his career with Insignia Financial Group, Inc. in 1990. Mr. Mickel started his own company in 1992 after leaving Insignia. His business activities include investments, acquisitions, finance, sale and asset management of apartment communities, condominium communities, shopping centers, land and venture capital.  Mr. Mickel serves as President of RSI Holdings, Inc. and Manager of Capital Deployment, LLC and various other entities.

Mr. Mickel is active in the Greenville area community currently serving on the boards of the President’s Advisory Board (Clemson University), the Daniel-Mickel Foundation, DLDC, The Innovate Fund, The Cotillion Club, Camperdown Academy Board of Visitors, Dean’s Council (SOMG) (USC School of Medicine) and the Investment Committee of the Community Foundation of Greenville.

Mr. Mickel is a past board member of the Peace Center, Upstate Forever, Junior Achievement of Greater Greenville, Phillis Wheatley Community Center, Christ Church Episcopal School, Advisory Council (Furman University), Charity Ball (Rose Ball), Governor’s School for the Arts Foundation, Clemson University Foundation, past Chairman of the Clemson University real Estate Foundation, past president of Artisphere, past president of The Poinsett Club, past President of the Metropolitan Club, past President of The Museum Association, past Chairman of the Community Foundation of Greenville and past Treasurer and Board Member of the Greenville Tech Foundation.

Mr. Mickel earned a B.S. degree in Industrial Management from Clemson University (1979), a master’s in business administration from the University of South Carolina (1981) and is a graduate of Leadership South Carolina (1984). He is a native of Greenville, South Carolina, and a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
