Harold E. Shaw Jr.

Bio

Harold E. Shaw Jr. was born and raised in Greenville, SC, graduated from Davidson College, and received his M.D. degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed a medicine internship at Baylor College of Medicine Affiliated Hospitals in Houston, TX, research fellowship and ophthalmology residency at the Duke University Eye Center in Durham, NC, and a Heed fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology, a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and a recipient of the American Academy of Ophthalmology Honor, Secretariat, and Senior Achievement Awards. He is an emeritus Director of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has served on the clinical faculty of the University of South Carolina School of Medicine-Greenville and the adjunct faculty of the Duke University Eye Center. Dr. Shaw is Chairman Emeritus, retired, of Jervey Eye Group in Greenville. He is married to Minor Mickel Shaw and they have 3 children and 10 grandchildren
