Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear? Attire for the event is dressy casual. We want you to be comfortable, but remember, this is an opportunity to make a great first impression. For example, jeans and a nice shirt or a sundress would be acceptable. 

Is Honors Convocation required? All first-year students are expected to attend. Honors Convocation is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to get to know the Honors College and start making friends! Plus, students will walk away with a one-of-a-kind keepsake!

Can I bring my family members to Honors Convocation? Our event location this year is unfortunately not large enough to accomodate family members, but we will livestream the event. Stay tuned for details!

Do I sign up? Yes! Each person attending will need to sign up through EventBrite. Tickets are available here through August 6th at 11:30 p.m. Don’t forget – it's free! 

How do I get there? Honors Residence Hall RAs will escort students from the HRH to the Convocation location. Students should arrive no later than 5:45 p.m. Additional details will be provided at a later date.
