Graduate Students: Message from the Dean

July 1, 2020

Hello graduate students,

As stated by Provost Harding on June 5th, the university has adjusted instructional methods of some courses to address the needs of faculty and students and to keep health and safety the number one priority at UofSC.  Most of the instructional methods have now been completed and you are encouraged to check your schedule via Self Service Carolina.  As graduate students, most of you will not have substantial changes in your schedule, but I encourage you to verify.

Students may find the following resources valuable when reviewing their schedule:

As a reminder, if you have questions or concerns regarding your schedule and/or new method of delivery, you are encouraged to contact your academic advisor or graduate program director. If you are unable to reach either of these or if you have other questions about the fall schedule, you are welcome to contact the Graduate School at gradapp@mailbox.sc.edu.

If you are serving as the instructor of record for an undergraduate course, be aware that the Center for Teaching Excellence offers a variety of resources that you may find useful while preparing your course, regardless of instructional modality.

We thank you for your continued patience and we look forward to the fall semester.

Cheryl L. Addy, PhD
Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate School
