Updates to West Campus, Blue shuttle routes

Based on recent student feedback and ongoing review of ridership on the Carolina Shuttle, changes in two routes are being implemented to move more people more efficiently.

Meters closed at Close-Hipp on Tuesday

Events on Tuesday around College St. will close all metered parking around Close-Hipp throughout the day. Campus community members should find alternate parking like in the Barnwell St. lot (AD7) and take the North Loop shuttle that drops off at Close-Hipp.

Lot AD1 closing July 15-17

Maintenance work will close the parking lot at Blossom and Park streets (lot AD1) Monday through Wednesday (July 15-17). Three handicap spaces will be available in the lot that is normally open to anyone on the Columbia campus with a parking pass. Parking Services recommends the lot across Blossom Street (AD3) or in the Greek Village as alternates during the maintenance.

UofSC welcomes NCAA Tournament to Colonial Life Arena

The University of South Carolina is hosting the first and second rounds of the 2019 NCAA Tournament at Colonial Life Arena, March 22-24, welcoming thousands of visitors to campus and the city of Columbia for the event. The city, the COMET bus service and the university have created a transportation plan for the week for visitors and regular commuters.

Parking lot FS10 altered during NCAA Tournament week

With crews coming in to set up for the NCAA Tournament in Colonial Life Arena, parking lot FS10, located behind the arena on Gadsden Street, will lose over half its spaces on March 18-19. The lot will be completely closed to faculty and staff over March 20-24.

UofSC's education, nursing online offerings ranked among nation's best

U.S. News and World Report released its annual ranking of online graduate programs on Tuesday (Jan. 15) and UofSC’s education and nursing online graduate programs both excelled, with the College of Nursing’s programs ranking No. 6 overall (No. 3 among public programs) and the College of Education’s online graduate offerings ranking No. 34 in the nation.
