From so-called "traditional" publishing to digital press opportunities afforded by Amazon and others, the publishing industry is one of the most dynamic environments to build a career in the new decade. Learn the history of publishing, the disruption caused by digital, and the gig-economy impact of freelancers, indie presses, and self-published authors. The various streams of revenue that support modern literary professionals (teaching, freelancing, reviewing, editing, curating, publishing, podcasting, etc.) and the marketing required by each are all explored.
