**No prerequisites. Open to all Honors students. Course is particularly suited for public health majors and also any health science/nursing/pharm majors.**Course can be counted towards a PUBH or EXSC cognate or the Medical Humanities and Culture minor.This course will provide core principles in public health leadership. Areas included are public health ethics, communication issues as they relate to public health leadership, and public health leadership competencies and leadership value. By the end of the semester, the student will be able to describe their own leadership style, describe how public health ethics play a part in leadership, explain key leadership competencies in public health, explain communication styles that contribute to effective leadership in public health, describe effective means for resolving conflict in the public health field, and explain future trends in public health leadership.
