**Prerequisites: Successful completion of MATH 141 - Calculus I or equivalent.**Climate and mathematics are inexorably linked, although people seldom stop to consider the mathematics behind the weather. In this course, we will investigate climate and mathematics, both from a current and historical point of view, with special attention paid to climate change. Various climate models will be studied as well as the meteorologists, scientists, and mathematicians that developed them. The course will culminate in a final project, where each student can choose a related topic and present a detailed study on this part of climate. The projects can be historical, mathematical, or even political in nature allowing students to tailor the project to their major and interests.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
