Special topics in British literature exemplifying persistent themes of British culture. May be repeated for credit. Content varies by title and semester. Prerequisite: ENGL 101 and 102 or equivalent. FS: 11/04/2015. CL: 2020.

Notes:

In this class, we will explore British authors’ use of sex and death to create their own renditions of beauty. Reading across centuries and genres to examine the uses to which sex and death combine to create compelling literary masterpieces, we will analyze how various authors engage their readers and the major issues of their historical moments. .
