Emily Poveromo joined the Office of Academic Affairs as the Year 1 Curriculum Coordinator in November 2019. She comes to us from South Florida where she has over seven years of experience in academic medicine. Prior to joining UofSC School of Medicine Greenville, Mrs. Poveromo oversaw the Undergraduate Medical Education department for Memorial Healthcare Systems (MHS) in Hollywood, FL. Before MHS, she served as the Senior Academic Coordinator for Florida Atlantic University’s College of Medicine. Emily received her Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Florida Atlantic University and her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. In her free time, Emily enjoys traveling, yoga and hiking. She is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and having a positive impact on the next generation of physicians.
