Citation: Roberts, T. W. (1995). Differentiation from the family of origin and adjustment to college in young adults. Journal of The Freshman Year Experience, 7(1), 53-66.

Abstract

The author examines the difference in personal views held by second-semester freshmen and first-semester sophomores about the perceived psychological health of their family of origin. The findings suggest that students having problems adjusting to college might benefit from family counseling.
