Bio
| Background: | Dr. Albano is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) with a Certificate of Additional Qualification (CAQ) in Sports medicine. He specializes in the evaluation and management of the full spectrum of sports related injuries and ailments. Dr. Albano is an alumni of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine where he earned his medical degree. Following medical school, he completed a one year rotating internship at Southampton Hospital on Long Island and a Family medicine residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. During his final year of residency, Dr. Albano served as chief resident. After residency, he completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia where he worked closely with the Philadelphia Phillies organization under the tutelage of the physicians and surgeons of the Rothman Institute. Upon completing fellowship, Dr. Albano joined the Rothman Institute practicing primary care sports medicine before relocating to Greenville as a member of the Prisma Health Department of Family Medicine and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Albano also holds a Master's Degree of Business Administration from Auburn University. In his leisure time, he enjoys the company of his family and friends. |
