In summer and fall of 2011, the National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition conducted the 2011 National Survey of Senior Capstone Experiences. The purpose of the Survey was to gather information on senior capstone courses and culminating experiences. A total of 3,538 institutions received the invitations to participate and 276 completed the survey. Of these respondents, 268 four-year institutions offered a senior capstone experience.
