Patterns

Add visual interest to your designs with a family of scalable brand patterns. The patterns, which are styled to represent South Carolina's welcoming nature, are available in a range of designs and brand colors.

Patterns are a useful way to add depth and detail to your designs. Choose from three pattern styles (available in multiple color variations) to create a full-bleed texture or simplified organic edge in your layout. Only approved patterns should be used in university communications.

Using Patterns

  • full bleed

    Full Bleed

Create full-bleed graphics, such as on the back of letterhead or the interior of a book jacket. Full-bleed patterns feel sophisticated and can be used like white space when a project allows.

  • organic edge

    Organic Edge

Use an edge element to create distinctive, pattern-based edges on pages. This simplified pattern treatment can be layered with other objects to add interest.

  • texture

    Textural

Add a unique background or brand-centric graphic effect to your design with textural patterns.

  • frame

    Frame

Select a solid or patterned frame to use as a container for an element or to create an interesting border.
