White Coat Ceremony

School of Medicine Greenville's White Coat Ceremony celebrates an important milestone in the lives of our first-year medical students. During the ceremony, students pledge their commitment to the profession and to the health of the patients they will serve. Students also receive their white coats, a symbol of their entry into the medical profession.

EMT Disaster Drill

School of Medicine Greenville was the first in the country to require first-year medical students to complete an Emergency Medical Technician training course to certification. The annual EMT Disaster Drill puts students' knowledge and performance under pressure to the test.

Match Day

Match Day occurs annually on the third Friday of March for every allopathic medical school in the United States. Students are informed of their placements at noon on the dot.

Spring Preview

School of Medicine Greenville’s Spring Preview is an annual event for accepted applicants to come to our campus for a more in-depth look at our school.

Donor Scholar Celebration

School of Medicine Greenville’s Donor Scholar celebration is an annual event to recognize our donors for their contributions and honor our donors, supporters and student scholars.


School of Medicine Greenville's Convocation ceremony is a very personal opportunity for faculty, staff, friends, family and the Greenville community to come together and celebrate the many accomplishments of fourth-year students.


Commencement is a combined ceremony for both the Greenville and Columbia medical schools held in Columbia at the University of South Carolina.
