The USC School of Medicine Greenville White Coat Ceremony celebrates an important milestone in the lives of our first-year medical students. During the ceremony, students pledge their commitment to the profession and to the health of the patients they will serve. Students also receive their white coats, a symbol of their entry into the medical profession.
The USC School of Medicine Greenville was the first in the country to require first-year medical students to complete an Emergency Medical Technician training course to certification. The annual EMT Disaster Drill puts students' knowledge and performance under pressure to the test.
Match Day occurs annually on the third Friday of March for every allopathic medical school in the United States. Students are informed of their placements at noon on the dot.
