School of Medicine Greenville

The UofSC School of Medicine Greenville Commencement event is a combined ceremony for both the Greenville and Columbia medical schools with official conferral of degrees and recitation of the Hippocratic Oath.

Spring 2020 Commencement/Awarding of M.D. Degree

In response to the closure of university campuses throughout the state of South Carolina and the transition to virtual delivery of curriculum through the end of spring semester, UofSC President Bob Caslen announced that traditional May commencement ceremonies will be postponed. The university is committed to and actively exploring options for rescheduled, in-person ceremonies when it is safe to host them and will be planning experiences for graduates to celebrate their achievements. This change will not impact the degree completion status of those students who were scheduled to graduate in May.
