Bio
| Background: | Graduated from Bob Jones University with a BS double major in biology and chemistry. Graduated from USC-SOM in Columbia with MD. Married during Medical School. Completed a transitional internship at UT in Chattanooga, TN in 1992. Did a research fellowship in the LF Montgomery Oculopathology Lab at Emory University Hospital before starting four years of residency at Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital. Joined the faculty of the USC Dept. of Ophthalmology in 1998 and served as Residency Program Director for two years until leaving for private practice in 2005. Practiced in Augusta, GA for 12 years at Southern Eye Center before joining GHS in January, 2018 (GHS became PRISMA Upstate). |
