Graduate Applicants

A graduate degree in chemistry or biochemistry is one of the best educational investments a student can make.

Information Request

Tell us about yourself, and we will answer your specific questions.  We will also send you a brochure describing our graduate program and the research projects available.

Graduate Application

If you're interested in joining us as a graduate student, we have a preliminary application process through the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.  Applicants who are recommended for admission to the Graduate School will be notified by the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.  Test scores, transcripts and recommendations sent to us for the preliminary application will be forwarded to The Graduate School and do not need to be submitted twice.  Any questions about the preliminary application process should be directed to: or call 800-868-7588 or 803-777-2579.

Financial Support

Getting a graduate degree in chemistry or biochemistry is a lot of work, but the work itself helps pay for the degree.  Teaching and research fellowships can support you financially through the entire process.
