Sad News! Hui's postdoc advisor, Prof. Paul F. Barbara, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2010 in Austin from complications following a cardiac arrest. Paul was the Richard J.V. Johnson-R. A. Welch Regents Chair in Chemistry at the University of Texas at Austin. His laboratory developed and applied novel ultrafast and single molecule spectroscopies to study complex chemical systems, such as organic semi-conductors for photovoltaic applications, proton and electron transfer reactions,and intermediates in the reverse transcription of HIV-1. We will remember Paul for ever.
