William is a sophomore majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology with a minor
in Spanish. He is certified as an Emergency Medical Technician and serves as public
health chair for Engineers Without Borders (USC chapter). At USC, William is a Carolina
Scholar, holding the Winn Carolina Scholarship. He conducts research to understand
the mechanism of
iron regulation in the lab of Professor Caryn Outten.
