Linda Shimizu receives a 2017-2018 Fulbright U.S. Scholar Award for Exploring New Directions with Functional Supramolecular Materials. The Fulbright Research and Teaching award is jointly supported by the University of Vienna, where Shimizu will be a Visiting Professor of Science March, 1, 2018 through June 30, 2018.  The award will enable Professor Shimizu to explore research and collaborative projects with faculty in the Departments on Organic and Physical Chemistry at the University of Vienna.  She will also teach at the undergraduate and masters levels, giving her a chance to compare the differences in our curriculum with those of a top institution in Austria.  Her goal is to develop long term collaborations that would enable student exchange between our two institutions.
