Abstract

Classroom discussions are one of the most engaging and effective elements of a first-year seminar, and this issue shares a model that can help instructors move past information distribution to wisdom generation. Problem-solving models have been used in myriad fields to help participants take ownership of their challenges and solutions, and in a classroom setting, it can harness the power of peers learning from one another.
