Mandatory Check List for Move In
- Upload your photo to Carolina Card by August 3 to ensure you can pick it up on Move In day.
- Make sure you have completed the housing contract addendum (my.sc.edu housing portal)
- Upload and complete your immunization records to the My Health Space portal
- Check your Move-In day and time at my.sc.edu in the housing portal
- Upload your COVID-19 testing results to your My Health Space portal (within 14 days of your move in date)
- Print your move in parking pass (available in August at my.sc.edu after you complete steps 1-3)
- Bring a government issued photo id for check-in

Make sure you purchase property and liability Insurance and indicate you have secured it on my.sc.edu in the housing portal
Moving In
Arrive at your building at your scheduled time and date as selected in the housing portal at my.sc.edu. Scheduling is set to prevent traffic jams and long elevator waits. If you arrive outside of your scheduled time, our staff will not allow you to move until your scheduled day and time.

Temporary package pickup for move-in will take place Aug. 9-11 and 16-18, 2020 at
701 Assembly Street. Enter through N2 parking lot off Blossom Street for assistance.
Package pick up is available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Move In. For additional information
on student postal services visit the Student Mail Center online.

Traffic On Campus
USCPD and University Housing understand that students have a lot to move in, however due to parking garages, hills and other obstacles on campus please do not bring large box trucks, trailers, car toppers and recreational vehicles for move in. USCPD and parking attendants will not allow these vehicles into traffic patterns in and around campus on move in day.
Groups bringing multiple cars for move in should bring car one through the unloading process and then find a parking place. Switch your to your second car to bing through the unloading process.
Campus has been divided into multiple zones to assist guests and new students with finding their traffic pattern. Your building zone is located on the back page of the move in guide or can be found on the building move in schedule. Once you arrive in the general campus area follow the traffic signs to your building unloading traffic pattern.

Checking In
You can pick up your key at your residence hall on Move-In Day. You
will need your Carolina Card and move in ticket to pick up your keys
and yes, you will have to get your key. Mom and Dad can’t do that
for you!
If you arrive to campus after Tuesday, August 18, you will pick up
your key at the Area Campus Office for your residence hall.
Most residents will be given a key at check-in to access their room.
However, residents of Women’s Quad, Rutledge, Pinckney/Legare,
820 Henderson St. and Patterson Hall will access their room with
their CarolinaCard and a 4-digit PIN. If you live in Women’s Quad,
Rutledge, Pinckney/Legare, 820 Henderson St. or Patterson Hall,
you’ll receive instructions during check-in about how to access your
room.
