The Conference Center at the University of South Carolina is a division of University Housing and hosts thousands of guests each year through Summer Conferences and Camps and Special Events. The Conference Center’s primary focus for summer conferences and camps is to provide housing and meeting services to official University departments and their guests within the University of South Carolina system.
Under the supervision of the Conference Center Coordinator and the Summer Conference Managers, the Conference Assistant is responsible for servicing the needs of conference groups and their participants. The conference assistant will be involved in all phases of the conference program preparation and servicing specific conference needs. Summer conferences and camps at the University of South Carolina currently range in size from 1 to 1,000 people, with young participants through professional adult guests.
The Conference Center at the University of South Carolina hosts thousands of guests each summer. On campus housing is converted to guest housing and made available from May to August. Conferences, camps, and special events are hosted throughout the USC campus. Groups currently range in size and participants vary from youth sports and academic programs, new student orientation, college interns and professional adult guests.
The focus for this position is to function as a manager of an on-campus housing facility. The Conference building manager will be responsible for a team of 4-8 student workers. The building will house conferences and camp guests throughout the summer months. The Manager will be supervised by the Assistant Director and the Operations Manager of the Conference Center.
Living & Learning Communities
The IDEA Community at University of South Carolina seeks a creative, self-motivated
undergraduate assistant. Reporting to IDEA’s Program Lead, this team member will
focus on event planning and engaging diverse students across the community. A
successful candidate will be flexible, organized, and collaborative. Assignments may
include occasional evening and weekend work, as needed.
Residence Life
The Resident Assistant (RA) is a full-time student selected to serve as an advisor, referral resource, and positive role model to residents by exhibiting compassion and concern to guide them through their Carolina experience. Under direct supervision, the RA ensures the safety and security of residents through established protocols, provides administrative support and assists with larger departmental initiatives. Under general supervision and in alignment with the EngageCarolina student engagement framework, the RA hosts events, shares important information, has intentional conversations with a focus on a group of 25 to 60 residents.

Student Affairs
The Division of Student Affairs and Academic Support is seeking a highly motivated,
energetic, and dedicated student to serve as our student photographer. In this role,
the
candidate will be responsible for capturing photos of campus, campus life, residence
halls, and events for the Division of Student Affairs position. This position offers
an
opportunity for students passionate about photography to gain experience, develop
a
portfolio and immerse themselves in various aspects of campus life.
Work hours are flexible but will include weekend and evening work throughout the
semester to meet the needs of the division.
