Cable TV In Our Halls
In the Summer of 2020 South Carolina made a major upgrade in the wifi services provided within residential living areas. Due to these updates and the increased use of streaming video, television and movies, University Housing will discontinue cable services beginning Fall 2021.

Internet and Computers
Each room in our residence halls has both wired and wireless internet access. Rooms with two students will have two jacks or a network switch that allows both students internet access.

The Carolina Tech Zone at 516 Main Street will be open during move-in. Drop by for help with connecting
your computer or installing software.

Use of Routers
Routers (wireless or wired) cannot be connected to the university network under any circumstances. If you use a router, we may disconnect your internet service permanently. If you want more than one wired connection, you can purchase and install a 10/100 switch.
