VIDEO: Students return to campus for fall term

They came from New Brunswick, N.J. and Moore, S.C. and hundreds of places in between. 6,706 students moved into residence halls this weekend at the UofSC.
Move in by the numbers:
- More than 5,200 — Estimated number of students in the university's freshmen class
- More than 33,000 — Estimated student population on the Columbia campus.
- 845 — Estimated number of freshmen who will enter the Capstone Scholars program.
- 55 — Estimated percentage of women in this year's freshmen class, which reflects a nationwide trend as more young women enroll in college.
