Carolina Cares: For when the unexpected becomes reality

The Carolina Cares Fund provides financial support to students facing unexpected and unforeseen financial hardships, ensuring you can continue your education without interruption.
Funded solely by donors, the Carolina Cares Fund is available to any currently enrolled students for verifiable expenses that are defined as unexpected, unforeseen, unavoidable and urgent in nature.
How it works
- Students apply for a one-time payment, which is reviewed and considered for approval by the Office of the Dean of Students on a case-by-case basis.
- If approved, the fund can be used to support unexpected expenses associated with, but not limited to medical emergencies, personal safety needs, food insecurity and more.
- The fund is not intended to be used for routine expenses or as a consistent supplement to a student’s education funding sources.
