Deadline approaching to apply for Washington, SC semester programs

The Washington Semester program places students in congressional offices and other organizations in the nation's capital for a semester. The full-time, paid internship plus two classes provide 15 academic credit hours in either the fall or spring semester. The program is open to all UofSC students and majors.
Applications for the spring 2020 Washington Semester program are due Oct. 10 at 5 p.m.
Information sessions will be held in DeSaussure 228 on the following dates:
- Sept. 5, 2:30-3 p.m.
- Sept. 10, 12-12:30 p.m.
- Sept. 16, 1-1:30 p.m.
- Sept. 17, 12-12:30 p.m.

The South Carolina Semester program provides a unique opportunity for students to learn about state government and how it affects our daily lives. This part-time internship, along with a weekly seminar class, provides students with six honors credits. The program is open to all UofSC students and majors.
Applications for the spring 2020 South Carolina Semester program are due Sept. 23.
Information sessions will be held on the following dates:
- Aug. 30, 2:30 p.m. – Gressette Room, Harper
- Sept. 3, 3:30 p.m. – Gressette Room, Harper
- Sept. 5, 4 p.m. – Capstone Scholars Office Room 201
- Sept. 12, 4:30 p.m. – B119, Honors Residence Hall
